Today, I will tell you about a revolutionary product (for me at least): the Goldfaden MD Sun Visor SPF 30, a high protection sun care mist.
\nI know I already talked about sunscreen very recently, but I couldn’t not show you this product. Because for me, it is really a true technical innovation!<\/h2>\n

Protection against UV rays is really a big deal for me and I had already explained\u00a0my reasons in my daily UV protection article<\/a>.<\/p>\n

It has become a real need to protect myself properly since living in Dubai<\/strong>, because the sun’s rays here are formidable, even very early in the morning: the sun here is no joking matter at all!<\/p>\n

My concern is that all conventional sunscreens provide\u00a0limited protection<\/strong>, at least regarding the amount of time they last. For an optimal protection, it must be reapplied every 2 hours<\/strong>.
\nSo no problem if you don’t wear makeup, but I’m sorry, in summertime, even if it’s more than 40 degrees, I would wear some makeup<\/strong>. Holidays or not, there will always be days when I have some makeup on my face AND where I will need protection against UV rays.<\/p>\n

So what I did until now is that I used the lightest product possible (oil-free highly appreciated!) and, when needed, I would apply a little bit of that product on the tips of my fingers and I gently dabbed it onto my skin, trying not to smudge\u00a0my makeup, which to be quite frank, was never really a success… And I also had the unpleasant impression of adding yet another layer of product on my skin. In the heat, you really want to avoid that!<\/p>\n

So, I have been looking\u00a0for the miracle product<\/strong>\u00a0for a very long time, the one that would allow me to wear my makeup and at\u00a0the same time, still be protected from UV rays.<\/p>\n

So yes, I have tried compact pressed powders with high SPF (Av\u00e8ne<\/a> or Shiseido<\/a>), but I really didn’t love\u00a0either, they\u00a0add a thick layer and nearly always more color to\u00a0my face. If you’ve already put some blush on and\/or bronzer and\/or highlighter, it all vanishes under a\u00a0thick powder layer: it’s such a shame, right?<\/p>\n

So I thought that it would be wonderful if I could\u00a0find a sort of solar mist<\/strong>, super light but with a high protection, which could be sprayed directly over my\u00a0makeup without ruining it and without leaving a really\u00a0ugly and greasy film on the skin.<\/p>\n

Well, this Holy Grail<\/strong>, I think I have finally found it!<\/p>\n

So it’s a sunscreen, an anti-oxidant product with a SPF 30<\/strong>, which is a very good one. (As a reminder, SPF 50 blocks 98 % of UV rays and \u00a0with a SPF 30, \u00a097% are blocked, so it’s quite similar)<\/h3>\n

The Sun Visor<\/strong> seems to have a pretty damn good formula:
\n– formulated with natural and organic ingredients<\/strong> ( including titanium dioxide , a natural UV filter)
\n– oil-free<\/strong>
\n– parabens-free<\/strong> (but with phenoxyethanol, of course) ( frankly, it makes me laugh, but oh well… replace a potentially dangerous chemical preservative by another potentially just as dangerous, I still don’t get it, but I guess that marketing has something to do with it :|)
\n– petrochemical-free<\/strong> (you know, my dear old friends, the mineral oils, derived from petrol? Yep, they’re not invited here)
\n– alcohol-free<\/strong> (it is always better if you can avoid it)
\n– fragrance-free<\/strong>
\n– silicone-free<\/strong> (perfect!)
\n– gluten-free<\/strong> (as far as I’m concerned, I don’t care about gluten but there are more and more people with gluten intolerance\u00a0–\u00a0again, I think it’s more of\u00a0a marketing argument, the famous “gluten free”, especially for food, don’t you think?)
\n–100% Vegetarian and not tested on animals<\/strong>
\n– hypoallergenic<\/strong><\/p>\n

The formula protects against UVA and UVB, is also anti-ageing<\/strong> and will prevent the appearance of dark spots<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

But the formula, even if I find it very good, is not what made me jump for\u00a0this product.<\/p>\n

It is the\u00a0form of the product that is so interesting<\/span>. It is a mist so fine<\/strong> that it can be sprayed, even if you already have put your makeup on, so literally, I can mist this product over my makeup. And it’s smear-free<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

And that, I think is so awesome<\/strong>!
\nThis is typically the kind of product that I take with me in my bag for touch-ups<\/strong> if I need more protection during the day. And here, in Dubai, it is very very useful<\/strong>!
\nThe 80 ml bottle is fairly compact, so it does not take up much space in my hand bag.
\nOf course, it is also very beach-friendly<\/strong>!<\/p>\n

Generally, I always use my daily sun protective skincare every morning (Chanel or Clarins<\/a>) after my moisturizer and before my makeup, and I use the Sun Visor during the day, but clearly, if I go on vacation, I will just bring this one on its own!<\/p>\n

I sprayed 1 or 2 times<\/strong> on my face without being too close and let the product dry on the skin (which only takes a few seconds). Since I just use a small amount of product every time I’m using it, I think the product will probably last a long time<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Goldfaden MD, what is it?<\/h3>\n

I’ll be honest, I had never heard of the brand Goldfaden MD<\/a> before I found this product. (for those of you who are interested, I came across this product through a video of You-tuber Amelia Liana<\/a>) (yes, I know, a bit of a\u00a0princess) (but she is always reviewing awesome products, so it’s OK)<\/p>\n

So Goldfaden MD is an American brand<\/strong>, specifically from Florida, which was founded by a dermatologist , Dr. Goldfaden (still in charge).
\nThere are very\u00a0few products in the brand (13), and it is a relatively young brand (2012, although\u00a0I’m not too sure, perhaps it’s just the date of the re-packaging of the products, I had a lot of trouble finding information about the history of this brand).
\nBut one thing that I know is that \u00a0it is a family company. It is quite rare, so it deserves to be\u00a0mentioned!
\nIt is also considered as a brand of dermatological products inspired by nature<\/strong>. The founders are focused on results on the skin, while keeping in mind the benefits of and respecting nature.<\/p>\n
