Let’s talk about big hair, shall we?<\/h2>\n

I have let my hair grow for several years now (yes, it is very slow), and I noticed that with the length it tends to be flatter<\/strong>, and I mean like sadly flat.
\nWell, quite normal with the “weight” of all the hair. The longer\u00a0the hair, the more it will need to be ‘pimped’ from\u00a0the roots.<\/p>\n

My hair naturally has a tendency to be slightly wavy, although\u00a0not really on the curly side, and most importantly, I don’t really have much volume.
\nEven if I have a good amount of hair, it’s very thin.
\nIf I straighten my hair for example, it really doesn’t suit me. I totally feel it digs my face more and makes my dark circles more obvious (OK maybe I focus too much on those damned\u00a0dark circles!)
\nThat’s why I want some volume in my hair<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

I’ve never really been very focused on hair styling products. Until very recently, the only hair styling product I used was the Elnett<\/a> hairspray.<\/p>\n

And being French\/Parisian, I have a big tendency to be capillary lazy. Very often I allow my hair to dry naturally.
\nAnd yeah, letting your\u00a0hair dry in the wind, that is one of the famous Parisian’s hair beauty secrets<\/a>\u00a0revealed, lol !<\/p>\n

But since I now live in a country where women truly worship their hair<\/strong>, I\u00a0too from time to time, want a perfect blow dry with nice soft curls and beautiful volume (but not one of those ‘beehive<\/a>‘ hair styles, never!).<\/p>\n

No, the fact that I am obsessed with Lana Del Rey<\/a> at the moment has nothing to do with it! wink<\/span>
\nMessage to the Parisians who will see her in concert at Rock en Seine<\/a>\u00a0festival this summer: I hate you! (The same day as Queen Of The Stone Age, and more: I hate you so much!)<\/p>\n

Sorry, I’ve kind of lost my point, there.<\/p>\n

So, here in Dubai, it’s really the empire of big hair<\/strong>, isn’t it Kate?<\/p>\n

So without going that far (because no, really Dynasty<\/a>, is over by the way!), a little more volume for\u00a0the hair, is really\u00a0pretty.<\/p>\n

Here are my findings to pump my hair a little:<\/h3>\n

And I can hear you saying to\u00a0yourself: “So, she waited to be in Dubai to discover the volumizing mousse hair. Wow, what a discovery!”<\/p>\n

Well, yes, I admit, I’m really a beginner when it comes to hair style products, it’s pretty clear!<\/p>\n

It’s even worse than that, what I had understood, is that the ‘volumising’ mousse was only for curly hair, yes, I know, pathetic…
\nHey, I can’t be expert everywhere! wink<\/span> <\/p>\n

This mousse is specifically for fine and flat hair<\/strong> aka ‘my type of hair’.
\nIt will amplify<\/strong>\u00a0the hair directly at the roots, like a ‘support’ and it is also very long-lasting. It protects from the heat,<\/strong>\u00a0from the hair-dryer, a true all-in-one product, don’t you think?<\/p>\n

After my shampoo and conditioner, I pre-dry my hair with a towel and I apply roughly an orange-sized amount of mousse on my scalp first and then I go down, to the\u00a0lengths of my hair.
\nAnd after that, I do my blow-dry, the style hair part of the approach.
\nI’ll give you a\u00a0little tip to increase\u00a0the volume during the blow-dry: doing it with your head\u00a0upside down<\/strong>\u00a0will give you\u00a0better results!<\/p>\n

When your\u00a0hair is dry, you’ll\u00a0feel it’s different, I can see the volume in the roots of my hair and also I can feel that my hair “grips”<\/strong> more, which is perfect for a super bun or hair-do the next day, too.<\/p>\n

About\u00a0the formula, one\u00a0good point, it does not contain silicone. This, however, is where it ends as it is\u00a0not a very natural formula.
\nI make sure to use a clarifying shampoo (like Phytoneutre <\/a>or even Lush Seanik<\/a>) after using these products, to eliminate everything. This kind of formula tends to remain in your\u00a0scalp, and if not cleaned properly, it’s a direct ticket to dandruff-city (Hello glamour!).<\/p>\n

Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray:<\/a><\/h4>\n

The famous<\/strong> Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray!
\nThis product is a real celebrity in the blogosphere. All the\u00a0UK and US\u00a0bloggers are totally obsessed with this product.
\nAnd they are more expert than the French as you may have gathered, when it comes\u00a0to hair styling products, I know that for sure.<\/p>\n

So, no, this is not a dry shampoo, not at all, even if it looks like it is.<\/p>\n

It is a dry texturizing spray<\/strong>, which will not give any powdery effect, just a better texture and amplified hair.<\/p>\n

So I really had to try it!<\/p>\n

I already find that classic dry shampoo helps a lot with\u00a0volume, but the difference between a dry shampoo and this Oribe dry texturizing spray is that the powder is so fine<\/strong> it can not be seen at all, and also it will help to hold the hair<\/strong>, kind of a mix between a super fine dry shampoo and a hairspray, quite good, isn’t it?
\nIt also has a very strong scent. My husband hates it, he finds that it smells like an old granny, and I quite agree for once, lol.<\/p>\n

I apply it at the roots, just a little spritz<\/strong>, just a bit\u00a0(thankfully, because this spray costs a fortune !)( about 250 AED).
\nAnd if you really want super volume, you can tease slightly above. But, really, \u00a0the product works pretty well on its own.<\/p>\n

The effect is not very long-lasting, especially when you brush it.
\nIf you want more volume the day after the styling, it can be re-applied at the roots and the volume is back! It also acts as a dry shampoo by absorbing the excess sebum, so it’s all good!<\/p>\n

There are a lot of good ingredients in the product (keratin, aloe vera, mango and ginger<\/strong>) that soften the hair and one another bonus, a UV filter<\/strong> to protect hair colour. It is always good, especially here!<\/p>\n

However, the formula is quite the opposite of a natural one, and there is quite a bit\u00a0of silicone in it, I prefer to be clear, so that you know. So same as for the K\u00e9rastase hair mousse, I use a clarifying shampoo after using this product to avoid deposits on my sensitive scalp (yes, my scalp is quite sensitive :)).<\/p>\n

The product is not sold in the UAE \u00a0(apparently, it will be soon, a little bird <\/a>told me), I was lucky,\u00a0I got a special delivery<\/a>. wink<\/span> <\/p>\n
