I recently added a lot of new lipsticks to my (already big) collection so\u00a0I decided to share my feelings about them\u00a0with you, guys… Because, you know, I’m not the only lip-product addict out here!<\/p>\n
I’ll do this post in several parts, because as I told you, I’ve got plenty of new lipsticks to introduce to you!\u00a0It will be a kind of summer (and perhaps even fall) saga: “2014 lipsticks, my favorite”!;) The two lipsticks that I want to talk about today are not really summer lipsticks, but they’ve been launched recently here in Dubai, so I wanted to talk about them here. Clinique Long Last Soft Matte Lipstick Crimson<\/p>\n<\/div>\n -Innovation:<\/strong>\u00a0the super soft formula, easy to apply and so comfortable on the lips. It’s very light on the lips, I barely feel it when I’m wearing it. -Texture:<\/strong>\u00a0matte\u00a0(obviously!;))<\/p>\n -Application:<\/strong> easy! Even if it’s a matte, it applies smoothly, and it glides perfectly on the lips. Not like some others matte lipsticks (yes, I’m talking about you,\u00a0MAC Ruby Woo <\/a>)…<\/p>\n -Pigmentation:<\/strong>\u00a0very good, a single coat\u00a0is enough\u00a0to cover the lips. The quicker, the better!;)<\/p>\n -Lasting Power:<\/strong> very good, the color lasts at least 4-5 hours without fading.<\/p>\n -Colour\u00a0Range:<\/strong>\u00a0not super crazy (it’s Clinique, after all, it’s not surprising) but there still are some pretty colours. -Smell:<\/strong>\u00a0without perfume (it’s still Clinique, no surprise).<\/p>\n -Packaging:<\/strong> simple, but classy, unpretentious, very Clinique again.<\/p>\n -Price:<\/strong> 125 AED.\u00a0This one is brand new. It was launched in the Sephora Dubai Mall first, and now, it’s available in the Clinique counters (and\u00a0online<\/a>, of course).<\/p>\n Est\u00e9e Lauder Pure Color Envy Impassioned<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n Est\u00e9e Lauder Pure Color Envy Tumultuous Pink<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Oh this one was expected! It was launched in Dubai in June (4 months after the rest of the world, yeah!), and after having seen the\u00a0swatches<\/a>\u00a0all over the internet, I couldn’t wait!<\/p>\n Quite frankly, it’s been years since I had wanted an Est\u00e9e Lauder lipstick… This is a very classic brand, far too classic\u00a0for me usually, but with this lipstick, they really succeeded. But come on, you need a few more\u00a0reasons, so:<\/p>\n -Innovation:<\/strong> Est\u00e9e Lauder speaks of a “sculpting” effect, and that’s true, this lipstick really plumps the lips. When I wear it, I really have the impression my lips\u00a0are “full” thanks to its 3D pigments effect. A true volumizing lipstick!<\/p>\n -Texture:<\/strong> Creamy, comfortable,\u00a0moisturizing. But it’s very light on the lips, it is super comfortable to wear.<\/p>\n -Application:<\/strong> Very easy, the stick is very precise and the texture can be applied smoothly and covers the lips in one coat.<\/p>\n -Pigmentation:<\/strong> The winner! The pigmentation is amazing, and the color is ultra bright and beautiful.<\/p>\n -Colour:<\/strong> The range is full of gorgeous colours, it was very difficult to choose. I chose Impassioned<\/a>, a stunning sunny orange-red and Tumultuous Pink<\/a>, a very classy and sublime raspberry red. (Next on the list: Dominant and Vengeful Red<\/a>)<\/p>\n -Lasting Power:<\/strong> Really good, it easily lasts 6 hours on the lips and fades nicely on the lips without getting in the folds or in the corners.<\/p>\n -Smell:<\/strong> slightly vanilla-scented, but really subtle.<\/p>\n -Packaging:<\/strong> Yes, this is important. For me,\u00a0lipstick\u00a0is a beautiful thing, and I want to show it especially when I get it out of the bag for my touch-ups. -Price:<\/strong> Yes, well, it’s not exactly cheap. But hey, it’s pure luxury, so I do not regret my 180 AED (but next time, I will buy them in the Duty-free!;))…<\/p>\n (you can click to enlarge the image)<\/p>\n
\nYou’ll see, there will are some bright colors<\/strong>! I’m not a the biggest fan of\u00a0nude lipsticks. Yes, I mean, they are helpful when you do a very smokey eye, but it’s not really what I call exciting, while a beautiful red lipstick, really stands out…\u00a0Something I can easily\u00a0rave about it!<\/p>\n
\nAnd every girl needs a real nice lipstick from time to time, don’t you think? (in the evening for going out, for example) (or if you just need a dose of glamour<\/em>) (Do we really need a reason to buy\u00a0a lipstick?) (Yeaaaah,\u00a0I thought so)<\/p>\n\n

\nFor a matte lipstick, that’s quite rare. Usually, the matte texture has a tendency to \u00a0dry the lips, but not \u00a0this one!<\/p>\n
\nI’m not a big fan of nude or pale pink colour, especially for a matte lipstick. With my complexion, it makes me look almost dead, so I usually avoid them. I can’t say anything about the\u00a0Suede and Beauty<\/a> colours, to be honest…
\nI set my heart on Matte Crimson<\/strong><\/a>, a beautiful blue toned red\u00a0(hellooo white teeth!),\u00a0very retro and feminine. But if you want more trendy colors, the Matte Mandarin and the Matte Magenta<\/a>\u00a0were also very pretty. I tried to be reasonable for once (or perhaps I’ve just thought about all the lipsticks I already own) and I didn’t take the 3 colors… But you never know what the future holds.;)<\/p>\n\n

\nI think we can all agree and\u00a0say that it is the best \u00a0lipstick launch of the year so far<\/strong>, OK?<\/p>\n
\nSo it\u00a0is a golden and deep-blue tube, very classy, very heavy (= luxury) with a magnetic closure. Yes, I said magnetic<\/strong>. So cool, isn’t it! This detail probably made me a little bit too hysterical about these lipsticks, but hey, as I already said, I’m a lipstick-addict…<\/p>\nTo conclude, here are the swatches of the 3 lipsticks:<\/h3>\n
