Not so exciting, is it? wink<\/span> (but it’s so much less expensive than the YSL version o_O)<\/p>\n Again, Yves Saint Laurent plays the innovation<\/strong> card with its latest lip product!<\/p>\n I already spoke about the famous YSL “lip lacquer” launched a few years ago in my lip lacquers<\/a> blog post, which was also a true innovation regarding the texture. Here, the promise of the Volupt\u00e9 Tint-In-Oil is to combine lip care (with nourishing oils) with color fantasy for a true hybrid 2-in-1\u00a0makeup product<\/strong>. This kind of texture also allows an ultra-shiny effect<\/strong> for glamorous shimmering lips.<\/p>\n About the lip care<\/strong> effect, the formula contains a combination of 5 nourishing oils<\/strong>: apricot kernel oil, macadamia nut oil, coriander oil, jojoba oil and passionflower oil.<\/p>\n The color range<\/strong> includes 8 different shades<\/strong>, which is not bad at all. However, watching the color swatches on Google, I haven’t found that there was a big difference between the colors. That’s why I chose the color #5 Cherry My Ch\u00e9rie, a\u00a0more vivid<\/strong>\u00a0pink.<\/p>\n Technology<\/strong> wise, the “Colour Link Infuse” process developed by the brand, allows pigments to uniformly mix<\/strong> with the oils, but also to spread<\/strong> continuously over time and gain in intensity<\/strong>\u00a0over the time. The oils disappear after a few hours but the color remains imprinted on the lips, like a lip stain<\/strong>.<\/p>\n As always with Yves Saint Laurent, the packaging<\/strong> of the Volupt\u00e9 Tint-In-Oil is so nice and luxurious: an ultra-sleek silver bottle with a metallic ring color and inside, an applicator “mouth to mouth” very playful but mostly ultra functional for a very precise application.<\/p>\n The Tint-In-Oil’s texture is like a kind of oil-in-gel<\/strong> very easy to apply and not runny at all once applied. It’s not sticky at all<\/strong>, which is always nice! wink<\/span> <\/p>\n Last important detail (yes, it is important wink<\/span> ), the fruity fragrance<\/strong> (mango) makes it so fun and nice to use!<\/p>\n I am a big fan of the packaging. The bottle is very pretty ( it’s often the case with YSL) so my lipsticks collector self is fulfilled with\u00a0this new jewel! Usually, lip glosses are not really my thing because I don’t like the stickiness that some may have, but I still love the idea of ultra shiny ‘vinyl lips’. The lasting power<\/strong> is average for this kind of very shiny product. It didn’t last more than 2 hours on my lips, but as promised, the color remains imprinted on the lips, and didn’t fade for a few more hours. About the price, I’m not gonna lie, I find it very expensive\u00a0<\/strong>($32). I’d ‘happily’ pay that price for a very intense and long-lasting lip product, but not for a transparent one that doesn’t last\u00a0more than 2 hours.<\/p>\n [wprs-pros][wprs-cons]<\/p>\n So basically, I would say that YSL Volupt\u00e9 Tint-In-Oil is the ideal product to have in your handbag<\/strong> (which will immediately be upgraded with this little gem inside wink<\/span> ). And since it must be applied regularly to keep the shine, the best thing to do is to carry it with you all day! \nI find the applicator very impressive: you can’t miss with it. It’s truly ergonomic and precise. And the mouth shape is such a cute detail!!! wink<\/span> <\/p>\n
\nWith this product, it’s exactly the kind of effect you get just after application. Your\u00a0lips are like a mirror! And it’s not sticky at all<\/strong>, which is always nice! wink<\/span> <\/p>\n
\nPersonally, I find it was a bit of a shame, I was hoping for a miraculous long lasting shine! Well, I guess it will take a bit of time for makeup brands to create some very shiny and very long-lasting products… wink<\/span> <\/p>\nSo, in summary:<\/h3>\n
\nIt’s perfect to give a glam look and a splash of color to the lips while preserving their moisture during the day. The application is very easy (even without a mirror).
