This spring, Clinique releases\u00a0new colors in the Cheek Pop collection, these very cute daisy-shaped blushes. So cute that you’ll want to collect all of them! (well, at least,\u00a0I\u00a0do wink<\/span> )<\/h2>\n

I really took my time to join\u00a0the tribe of the blush worshipers (probably because my activities in the club of lipstick admirers and the association of nail polish addicts\u00a0anonymous were taking\u00a0up too much of my time), but this time,\u00a0I’m feeling very committed!<\/p>\n

I’m still obsessed by\u00a0my ColourPop blushes<\/a> but I was always intrigued by those lovely flower shaped<\/strong>\u00a0Cheek Pop blushes by Clinique<\/a> that first came out in Spring 2014.
\nBesides, I still haven’t understood if it was a limited edition or if it was sold in some stores and not in others… Any idea?
\nOne sure fact however, is that the reviews were quite\u00a0unanimous among beauty bloggers around the world\u00a0and after I read many\u00a0rave reviews, I basically needed to see them myself!
\nBut obviously, by the time I was interested in them, they were constantly out of stock in\u00a0the\u00a0stores where I went searching for them.<\/p>\n

Thankfully, I’ve been able to\u00a0find them online\u00a0but I decided to wait until Clinique added more shades to make a little haul…<\/p>\n

So, I chose Peach Pop<\/strong> (from the 2014 collection),\u00a0Rosy Pop<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Melon Pop<\/strong>\u00a0(both\u00a0released this year). I surprised myself with my choice of colours\u00a0but at the moment,\u00a0I’m completely obsessed by\u00a0nude and peach colors (I also bought a pink one, you know, to balance everything out wink<\/span> )<\/p>\n

These blushes have a very unique texture, indeed. This is a hybrid texture<\/strong>.\u00a0The brand described it as being between cream and powder but for me, it’s really the same kind of texture as the new MUFE bronzers<\/a> which I spoke about a few weeks ago. It’s a kind of fairly hard dough, like a powder gel.<\/p>\n

12 shades<\/strong>\u00a0are available in total. 4 from last year’s collection and 8 new ones. But I’m not sure that the 12 shades are available everywhere though.<\/p>\n

Clinique Cheek Pop blushes, the details:<\/h3>\n
\"Clinique<\/a>\"Makeup<\/a><\/div>\n

– Innovation and formula:<\/span><\/strong>
\nThe innovation\u00a0here\u00a0is in this\u00a0hybrid texture<\/strong>, between solid cream and powder. The advantages: no powdery effect at all on the cheeks and it’s much easier to not overdo the application than with some more traditional blushes.<\/p>\n

– Packaging:<\/span><\/strong><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Difficult to resist with this lovely\u00a0daisy-shaped<\/strong>\u00a0blush. It makes it very desirable and a\u00a0object you really\u00a0want to show<\/strong>. In the Instagram<\/a> era, it’s always a bonus! In addition, the pattern doesn’t fade with the use. Wonderful, isn’t it?<\/p>\n

– Finish:<\/span><\/strong><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The finish is not matte or glittery but with a very subtle shimmer<\/strong>. It’s very luminous. Perfect for sunny days! wink<\/span> <\/p>\n

– Color range:<\/span><\/strong><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Since this spring, the color range has grown considerably. From 4 colors launched in 2014, Clinique has increased to 12 in 2015. And honestly, I want them all\u00a0(okay, I admit, it’s at least as much for packaging as it is for the color selection!).<\/p>\n

So I chose\u00a0Melon Pop<\/strong>, a\u00a0nude apricot<\/strong>\u00a0shade which is my favorite at the moment. At first, I was a little afraid because it seems very light, but finally, it’s an easy color to wear that gives a radiant \u00a0but very subtle glow and goes with almost every\u00a0makeup looks.<\/p>\n

Peach Pop<\/strong>\u00a0is an\u00a0orangey coral\u00a0<\/strong>shade that looks great for a more summery makeup look. The undertones are very warm and it’s perfect to add a bit of warm to the complexion. It’s very flattering when you’re slightly tanned and I imagine that these kinds of colors will perfectly suit a medium or darker\u00a0complexion.<\/p>\n

Rosy Pop<\/strong>\u00a0is a\u00a0raspberry pink<\/strong>\u00a0that gives a very fresh pop of colour to the complexion. It’s more the kind of colors that I wear in winter or when I do makeup looks with cooler colors (plum or taupe). You must have a light hand with this color and don’t do as I did on the picture you will see at the end of the article where it looks like I’m going for a little 80s revival. wink<\/span> <\/p>\n

– Application:<\/span><\/strong>
\nI apply them with a blush brush rather dense and round (this is a personal preference, I am not a fan of angled brushes for blush).
\nMy favorite with these blushes:
\n– the Multi Task and Stippling Brush\u00a0<\/strong>by Real Techniques<\/a>
\n– the Foundation Stippling Brush by Makeup Geek<\/a>\u00a0(which I find too small to apply the fondation but perfect for blushes)
\n– and of course my favorite, the Bobbi Brown<\/a> blush brush.<\/p>\n

\n
– Pigmentation:<\/span><\/strong><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The pigmentation is\u00a0excellent<\/strong>!\u00a0The only one with which I have a heavy hand is Melon Pop, but I think it has more to do with its color (light) than its pigmentation..<\/p>\n

\n
– Lasting Power:<\/span><\/strong><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Very good! They all lasts between 8 and 10 hours on me.<\/p>\n

– Value for money:<\/span><\/strong><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

I would say that $21 it a pretty decent value for money compared to other high end brands. But it’s difficult for me to buy any makeup products which cost more than $5 now that I know ColourPop<\/a>. wink<\/span> <\/p>\n
