Clinique<\/a> has spoiled us this season! The entire spring-summer makeup collection is super tempting and it was very hard for me to resist buying everything…<\/h2>\n

I had initially spotted the Cheek Pop blushes<\/a> but then I realized that the brand had also released matching lipsticks. And of course, I had to try them! wink<\/span> <\/p>\n

The packaging is very appealing (just like the blushes) and totally Instagram<\/a>-friendly!<\/p>\n

I really find that Clinique has a great makeup offer<\/strong> at the moment. They were famous for their makeup products for people with allergies to perfume and\/or very sensitive skin. The brand now offers a wide range of makeup with very cool packaging and ultra desirable colors.
\nIn short, there has been quite a facelift<\/strong> on Clinique makeup! And honestly, it’s a good news! smile<\/span> <\/p>\n

What the brand says about them:<\/p>\n

\nBut you’ll see, it’s not really the same thing…<\/p>\n

–\u00a0Packaging:<\/strong><\/p>\n

I love the packaging!
\nIt’s very compact<\/strong>, very easy to slip into a handbag. I also like the mix between metal engraved and colored plastic, which makes it very “pop” and modern, IMO. Although it’s not absolute luxury, let’s be honest, I find it rather chic and elegant<\/strong> while being pretty cool and simple.<\/p>\n

–\u00a0Innovation and texture:<\/strong><\/p>\n

The brand promises a\u00a02 in 1 lipstick<\/strong>, both primer and makeup, that is supposed to sublimate the lips while giving a flawless makeup result, very long lasting.
\nWell, I’ll be very honest, I’m not convinced<\/strong> at all about this primer effect… For one of the lipsticks I own, it’s even the opposite. Melon Pop<\/strong> really highlighted all the little dry skin I had when I tried it, it was not pretty and forgiving at all.
\nIn short, for me, it’s a fairly classic creamy<\/strong> lipstick, that’s is all. No primer effect<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

– Perfume:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

No perfume<\/strong> in Clinique makeup products.<\/p>\n

–\u00a0Application:<\/strong><\/p>\n

I usually apply them straight from the bullet on my lips. The only one I had problems with is still Melon Pop<\/strong>, which was quite patchy on my lips.
\nThe others were all extremely easy to apply<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

–\u00a0Pigmentation and coverage:<\/strong><\/p>\n

The pigmentation of these lipsticks is superb<\/strong>. They’re far from tinted balms! They are real lipsticks with an opaque coverage on the lips.
\nAgain, the only one which wasn’t perfect regarding the coverage was Melon Pop<\/strong>…<\/p>\n

– Color range:<\/strong><\/p>\n

With 16 different colors<\/strong>, the choice is wide!
\nThese are mostly pure colors but some of them are slightly iridescent with micro-glitter that make them even more luminous.<\/p>\n

I chose 4 shades: Bare Pop, Melon Pop, Plum Pop <\/strong>and\u00a0Cherry Pop<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Bare Pop<\/strong> is my ideal nude. It’s\u00a0is a pinkish beige with a golden shimmer. This is exactly how I conceive wearing nudes: my lips but with a better color and shimmer because I love glitter!!! Don’t worry, it’s quite subtle and it’s just the right amount to make this nude color interesting for\u00a0me! wink<\/span> <\/p>\n

Melon Pop<\/strong> was the color I wanted the most for this summer. This is a very nice peachy nude, perfect for the season, but unfortunately the formula is not as\u00a0good as\u00a0the others. If I have dry lips, the result is not really pretty…<\/p>\n

Plum Pop<\/strong> is a slightly purple muted pink. Muted because there is\u00a0also some nude in the color. It’s not at all a bright color which makes it very easy to wear. I love wearing these kind of colors with a smokey along with warm colored\u00a0eye makeup. And as a bonus, this shade helps bring out my green eyes. wink<\/span> <\/p>\n

Cherry Pop<\/strong>, is my joker color. A\u00a0cold red that works every time on me. It has that perfect red color: a bright, luminous red. One of those red that wakes your entire face up even if you just only slept 3 hours last night and also makes your teeth look whiter! The satin finish gives it even more brightness. In short, it’s just one of these effective red lipsticks that I love! wink<\/span> <\/p>\n

– Finish and feeling on the lips:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Clinique describes it as a semi-matte finish but for me, it’s a real satin finish<\/strong> rather creamy and luminous<\/strong>. This doesn’t bother me at all but it’s a little inconvenient for those who actually wanted a true semi-matte finish! uneasy<\/span>
\nHowever, an\u00a0extra\u00a0point for the moisturizing sensation<\/strong>. The lips feel nourished and stay moisturized throughout the day.<\/p>\n

– Lasting power:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Clinique promises a very long-lasting power with these Pop lipsticks but again, I don’t think it’s the case.
\nThey last on my lips for 3-4 hours<\/strong>, which is honorable but not outstanding.<\/p>\n

–Price:<\/strong><\/p>\n

They are sold at the price of $18, which is very affordable for a high-end lipstick IMHO! smile<\/span>
