For those who didn’t bother clicking on my link, I basically explained that this kind of product has been my quest<\/strong>, my holy grail for years. My main issue is that whatever sunscreen is applied in the morning, it needs to be reapplied every 2 hours to remain effective. Because if you reapply sunscreen, a\u00a0fluid texture, directly on a full\u00a0face of makeup, well, guess what, it generally doesn’t end well and doesn’t look good… (it’s a bit disgusting, it must to be said).<\/p>\n So an oil-free product that can be applied without ruining the makeup nor leaving a greasy film, that\u00a0doesn’t need to be spread, is completely transparent and is able to protect the skin (with a strong SPF), until last year it was nowhere to be found. (And believe me, I looked everywhere)<\/p>\n So let’s see what Bioderma<\/a> has to offer, shall we?<\/p>\n What the brand said about it:<\/p>\n For the 1st time*, a water mist hydrates and protects from UV and premature aging of the skin in a single gesture, to renew throughout the day.<\/span> And I love the teeny tiny *:<\/p>\n *The first water mist containing sunscreens, market France<\/span><\/em><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n Because obviously, you can imagine that in other markets (such as Asia<\/a> or US<\/a>), it has already been available\u00a0for a few months. Because, interesting thing: this mist doesn’t belong to the “suncare” range of the brand but to its moisturizing<\/strong>\u00a0one, Hydrabio<\/strong>. The reason? It’s not resistant to water or perspiration<\/strong>.<\/p>\n I would describe this product as a city sunscreen<\/strong>, which can be used more for touch-ups<\/strong> during the day. For me, it’s ideal to slip into your hand-bag so you always have a UV protection available.<\/p>\n – Packaging:<\/strong><\/p>\n In this product, the innovation<\/strong> is both in the formula and in the packaging.<\/p>\n Indeed, in order to get a real mist<\/strong>, Bioderma needed an atomizer to\u00a0evenly<\/strong>\u00a0distribute the product (to protect all over\u00a0without you having to spread it on the skin) and as fine as possible<\/strong> (without any droplets). – Texture:<\/strong><\/p>\n The texture is really like water<\/strong>, completely liquid and transparent.<\/p>\n – Perfume:<\/strong><\/p>\n The product is fragrance free<\/strong>. Nevertheless, it does have\u00a0a very slight smell but doesn’t remain on the skin.<\/p>\n – Formula:<\/strong><\/p>\n The revolution in this Hydrabio sunscreen water mist is in\u00a0the sunscreens it contains. It\u00a0is a\u00a0SPF30<\/strong>, which is a rather high SPF (SPF30 blocks 97% of UV rays).<\/p>\n So far, the sunscreens used in cosmetics were lipophilic<\/strong> substances, soluble in oily substances. That’s why most sunscreen products, even with fluid textures, are usually a little thick when you apply them and can leave a slightly oily aspect on the skin. The formula has to be oil-based.<\/p>\n Well, not here! In this Hydrabio mist, the filters used are hydrophilic<\/strong>, they have an affinity for water. So they can be integrated in a water-based formula. [BI 723]<\/p>\n – Application\/ How to use:<\/strong><\/p>\n This mist can be applied on bare skin or on top of your makeup.<\/p>\n Personally, I prefer to apply it as touch-ups<\/strong> throughout the day. In the morning, I always use a suncreen under my makeup (currently, it’s the one by La Roche Posay<\/a>). Usually, since I have an oily skin, I begin by absorbing the shine of my face using blotting papers (those by Clean & Clear<\/a>\u00a0are my favorite), then I apply some powder on my T-zone if necessary. The idea is to apply the Hydrabio mist on a “clean” surface (not greasy anyway).<\/p>\n Then, very important, I shake the bottle\u00a0rigorously\u00a0<\/strong>to distribute the filters into the formula.<\/p>\n I then spray\u00a04 pressures<\/strong> (1 in the center of the face, 2 on the sides and 1 at the top of the face) and I place the product about 15-20 cm from\u00a0my face<\/strong> (be careful and close your eyes and mouth) when spraying. You need to let it dry without touching it or spreading it<\/strong>. One last thing to think about: you need to regularly clean the cap<\/strong> to prevent it from cloging (just run it under warm water and wipe the pump outlet with a handkerchief).<\/p>\n – Efficiency:<\/strong><\/p>\n I tested it many times after I bought it (one month ago), when the temperatures allowed me to stay outside more than 10 minutes (currently, it’s complicated, it’s over 45-48 degrees outside). I also apply it when I drive (UVs pass through most\u00a0windows). – Value For Money:<\/strong><\/p>\n The product seems tiny (this is a 50ml) but by using 4 times daily<\/strong>, the brand promises a full month use<\/strong>. \nThe brand chose a propeller cap that looks exactly like a perfume or a thermal water one. It’s a spray which continuously vaporizes the product, not like\u00a0a conventional sun mist (for example) where\u00a0the product is distributed like a jet on the skin. Basically, the mist stops only when you have finished pressing the cap.<\/p>\n

\nYou can apply Bioderma Hydrabio up to 4 times per day<\/strong> (every 2 hours) for an optimal protection. A bottle should then last you a month.<\/p>\n
\nImmediately after spraying, the face is a little shiny, and slightly wet. But a few minutes after,the product is completely dry<\/strong>, matte<\/strong> and on me, it leaves no trace or extra layer whatsoever<\/strong>. If you touch your skin, you feel it’s slightly\u00a0sticky, but that feeling doesn’t last.<\/p>\n
\nAnd for now, no sunburn or sunspots to declare. So for me, it works<\/strong>!<\/p>\n
