I was literally dreaming about trying a product from the oh so desirable\u00a0Tata Harper<\/a>\u00a0skincare range! It’s now reality with the Purifying Cleanser, a detox face cleanser.<\/h2>\n

The brand Tata Harper was created by a young Colombian mother who lives in a 1200 acres\u00a0farm in Vermont, USA.<\/h4>\n

The story of the creation of its namesake brand begins with a tragic event.
\nIn 2005, Tata Harper's father in law was diagnosed with cancer. At the hospital, the doctors asked him to bring back\u00a0all the products he\u00a0use every day for analysis. That's how\u00a0she discovers for the first time\u00a0that some of your everyday products (such as creams, shampoos, lotions...) contain some toxic<\/strong> substances.
\nShe became very interested in what she puts on her face and she obviously made the same observation. She liked to use luxury skincare brands creams or serums, which certainly contain highly concentrated\u00a0and effective ingredients in their formulas but also many other chemicals that may be considered harmful or even carcinogenic. She begins to look for an \"clean\" alternative on the market but she couldn't find anything.
\nShe also discovers that not one cosmetics brand controls its manufacturing process from A to Z<\/strong>. According to her, they have no idea of \u200b\u200bthe origin of their ingredients, or if they are tested on animals, etc...<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

It was at that moment that she decided to make her own skincare range.

“Pfff a face cleanser… It’s really not the best option to discover if a skincare range is good or not!”
\nThat’s what I was thinking while swooning and browsing in front of the Tata Harper $150\u00a0creams and serums on her website. But, by frequently reading on the blog of Caroline Hirons<\/a> (the British skincare guru) that the\u00a0Tata Harper cleansers are amazing and with a little help from the\u00a0Black Friday (Yay for discount codes!), I finally decided to purchase my very first Tata Harper Purifying Cleanser.\u00a0And I already have the feeling that it won’t be my last Tata Harper product! wink<\/span> <\/p>\n

I also want to clarify one thing: if a cleanser is not going to totally transform your skin overnight, it can (if it’s inadequate or poorly\u00a0used) do a lot of damage. And on the contrary, a good face cleanser and that suits your skin type\u00a0won’t only preserve its beauty but also help to rebalance it. So choosing your cleanser carefully is a must! wink<\/span> <\/p>\n

This cleanser combats the daily wear and tear of environmental exposure and pollution by effectively clearing pores of excess oil, dead skin, and buildup \u2013 while maintaining the skin\u2019s moisture balance.

It’s a face cleanser for daily use<\/strong> (personally, I use it only once a day). It deeply<\/strong> cleanses and it also slightly exfoliates<\/strong> the skin (it doesn’t contain grains, it’s a chemical exfoliation<\/a>) but it remains super soft<\/strong> and not harsh at all.
\nIt leaves the skin clean and moisturized and with a very nice fresh feeling\u00a0(this is also why I prefer to use it the morning;) ).
\nIt’s ideal\u00a0for combination to oily skin but it’s not at all drying.<\/p>\n

How to use the Tata Harper Purifying Cleanser:<\/h3>\n

I was very surprised by the texture of this cleanser because I was expecting a classic foaming gel but it’s not at all! It’s a gel<\/strong> indeed, but an oily<\/strong> one, that doesn’t foam on contact with water but turns into a thin milky emulsion.
\nIt’s very confusing especially at first because\u00a0the brand recommends to use it on wet skin.<\/p>\n

So I proceed like this:<\/p>\n

– I apply the Purifying Cleanser dry<\/strong> on my face and neck but I avoid the eye contour (the essential oils in the product are a bit too much for this fragile area)
\n– if I have some spare time, I leave it on for 1 minute<\/strong> for a radiance boosting effect\u00a0(thanks to the enzymes in it that are exfoliants<\/a>)
\n– I massage the product\u00a0during at least 1 minute in circular motions<\/strong> to activate its enzymatic ingredients. Under the effect of the massage, the texture changes<\/strong>\u00a0and becomes almost liquid. As you can see in my pictures with the texture before (left photo) and after massage (right photo).
\n– I add a little bit of water to “dissolve” the product and I massage my face a little.
\n– I rinse thoroughly with water and I dry the skin.<\/p>\n

All this process takes me about 2-3 minutes and it’s a very nice gesture, like a wake-up massage for my face! bigsmile<\/span> <\/p>\n

It’s a green glass bottle<\/strong> with a pump.
\nNot the most convenient because it’s quite heavy (difficult to take along in your\u00a0suitcase) but the glass is essential to protect the active ingredients in organic products. Plastic is too\u00a0“porous” so it’s not suitable for this type of natural formula.<\/p>\n

– Texture:<\/strong><\/p>\n

This is an oily gel<\/strong>, like\u00a0a kind of balm (but the texture is not thick at all).<\/p>\n

– Scent:<\/strong><\/p>\n

A very lemony scent, super yummy\u00a0and enjoyable. In addition, it’s a 100% natural perfume! A real joy. bigsmile<\/span> <\/p>\n
