Oops they did it again! After their huge success last year, ColourPop have released more liquid lipsticks with the\u00a0brand new ColourPop Ultra Satin Lip<\/a>.<\/h2>\n

The brand created such a\u00a0buzz<\/strong> with the launch of their ColourPop Ultra Matte Lip<\/a>. You may\u00a0remember my story about my agitated\u00a0night spent in front of my computer to order them! tongue<\/span>
\nThis time, the release\u00a0of the ColourPop Ultra Satin Lip<\/strong> was quieter, and to be honest, I almost didn’t order them.<\/p>\n

First, overall, I wasn’t completely seduced\u00a0by the formula of the Ultra Matte Lip, which despite their sublime colors are very drying and quite difficult to wear\u00a0(touch-ups are almost impossible to do and they crumble\u00a0during\u00a0the day, yuck). Anyway, as usual, the day of the release, a little voice in my head tells me to go to the ColourPop website “just to have a quick look” (damn you Trendmood1<\/a>!!!) and since I can’t control myself when it comes to makeup<\/del> ColourPop, I always end up buying all the lipsticks.<\/p>\n

And secondly, the name “Ultra Satin Lips”\u00a0is quite confusing\u00a0because you expect a lip lacquer<\/a> kind of\u00a0formula which is not really the case.<\/p>\n

So with all that, I was being cautious\u00a0and “only” ordered 4 this time. (Well, with 3 Lippie Pencils<\/a> to go with them, obviously) \u00a0(because I had to order more than $30 to avoid paying delivery fees, you know\u00a0;) ).<\/p>\n

But honestly, I have no regret<\/strong>!
\nIf like me, you didn’t love the Ultra Matte Lip, you should be interested in the following:<\/p>\n

ColourPop Ultra Satin\u00a0Lip liquid lipsticks, presentation:<\/h3>\n
\"ColourPop<\/a><\/div>\n

ColourPop describes them as liquid lipsticks with a satin finish<\/strong>, but for me, they have a semi-matte to matte finish<\/strong> within a few hours.<\/p>\n

The formula is quite creamy<\/strong> at first but it’s also very lightweight. It doesn’t\u00a0dry completely on the lips\u00a0like\u00a0the Ultra Matte Lip, so it remains a little sticky on the lips and it isn’t\u00a0transfer-proof.<\/p>\n

In the range, there are 16 colors<\/strong> available. All are supposed\u00a0to be highly pigmented<\/strong> and opaque<\/strong>, extremely long lasting<\/strong> and non-drying<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Let’s see if these Ultra Satin Lip lipsticks keep their promises!<\/p>\n

–\u00a0Packaging:<\/strong><\/p>\n

The packaging is a plastic bottle with a metallic cap<\/strong>, exactly the same as the Ultra Matte Lip.
\nI find it rather sleek\u00a0and elegant, not cheap at all.<\/p>\n

–\u00a0Formula:<\/strong><\/p>\n

It’s a liquid texture<\/strong> but still rather creamy<\/strong>, not thick or “moussy” like some other brands. This is a texture rather easy to apply<\/strong> because it doesn’t bleed\u00a0and it’s easy to spread on the lips.<\/p>\n

– Scent:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

The perfume\u00a0is so light you can barely smell it.<\/p>\n

–\u00a0Application:<\/strong><\/p>\n

The applicator<\/strong> allows a precise<\/strong> application. The formula doesn’t really set\u00a0when you apply it, so you have time to draw beautiful and sharp contours.<\/p>\n

–\u00a0Pigmentation and coverage:<\/strong><\/p>\n

The pigmentation and coverage<\/strong> are great<\/strong>, even with just one\u00a0single layer! The layer is homogeneous, even with the\u00a0darker shades.<\/p>\n

– Finish and Feeling on the lips:<\/strong><\/p>\n

At first, when you apply it, it’s a true satin finish<\/strong>\u00a0(not glossy\u00a0at all, it’s not a lip lacquer or a lip gloss) but throughout the day, it\u00a0dries more and more on the lips and after 2-3 hours, it’s a semi-matte to matte finish depending\u00a0on the shades.
\nHowever, it doesn’t dry completely, so it’s not 100% transfer-proof<\/strong>. It’s not the kind of messy formula which smudges everywhere on the face. No, it doesn’t move and even when you drink or eat, a little bit of product will come off but the formula stays in place on the lips.<\/p>\n

They’re also very comfortable<\/strong> to wear; not necessarily moisturizing but not drying at all!<\/p>\n

–\u00a0Lasting Power:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

The lasting power is totally insane<\/strong>. After lunch, I just need a little touch-up\u00a0in the center\u00a0of my\u00a0lips, that’s all. And after that, it doesn’t move until the evening! The formula remains flexible, doesn’t crumble, stays bright and intense<\/strong>, it’s crazy!
\nAfter more than eight hours on the lips, the contour is only slightly less sharp but\u00a0the intensity of the color is still there. It really is the perfect lipstick to wear for a long day!<\/p>\n

–Price:<\/strong><\/p>\n

The icing on the cake: their price is $6<\/strong>. So at that price,\u00a0you definitely need\u00a0all of them! wink<\/span> <\/p>\n

With 16 different colors<\/strong>, it\u00a0leaves a lot of possibilities! As usual, the color range is super complete and appealing with crazy colors or more easy ones.<\/p>\n

I chose 4\u00a0shades: Dopey, Frick N ‘Frack, London Fog<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Panda<\/strong>. Some of them have a matching Lippie Pencil and as I’m a fan of these lip pencils<\/a>, I also purchased some of them to go with my lipsticks! wink<\/span> <\/p>\n

–\u00a0Dopey<\/a><\/strong>:\u00a0<\/strong>a pretty mauvy pink<\/strong>, like a dusty rose<\/strong> kind of shade\u00a0(it has some\u00a0grey undertones). It’s the color I wanted the most\u00a0but I ‘m not sure that this is my favorite after all… It kind of makes me look sick. However, if I mix it\u00a0with a nude brown pencil with\u00a0warm undertones, it’s much better. So, there’s hope!<\/p>\n

Frick N’ Frack<\/a><\/strong>:\u00a0<\/strong>a good surprise, because I was a little bit afraid that this shade would be too brown on me but it’s a beautiful brick red with brown undertones<\/strong>. It’s\u00a0rather dark but still luminous. I love it!<\/p>\n

\"ColourPop<\/a><\/div>\n

London Fog<\/a><\/strong>: definitely my favorite of the 4. It’s a gorgeous ruby red<\/strong>, with some very flattering pink undertones<\/strong>\u00a0which\u00a0makes your teeth look whiter! I received a lot of compliments when I wore it, which is always a good sign! wink<\/span> <\/p>\n

Panda<\/a><\/strong>: a beautiful purple pink, quite\u00a0intense and bright, and not too dark, perfect! smile<\/span> <\/p>\n
