For once, I’ll\u00a0cut the story short: if you’re a highlighter lover, you definitely need the Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow Kit Gleam<\/a> palette in your life!<\/h2>\n

And if you were hesitating between this one and the Illuminators<\/a> from the same brand,\u00a0trust me, they’ve got nothing in common!<\/p>\n

I’m not really a fan of the Illuminators, because of their stiff texture, and also because they don’t really last on me.
\nSo when I heard certain beauty YouTubers rave\u00a0about this Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow Kit, like the same ones who raved about the Illuminators, I thought that it was probably just more of the usual hidden sponsored content so I wasn’t really tempted to try them.<\/p>\n

But finally, about 16,586 years after their initial release, the kits landed in my local Sephora and I was able to swatch them<\/strong> to see what the fuss was about. And (spoiler alert!)\u00a0when I swatched them, my eyes became like the hearted eye emojis (you know the ones)! bigsmile<\/span> <\/p>\n

The Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow Kit highlighters palette are available in\u00a02 versions<\/strong>:
\n– That Glow<\/strong><\/a>: 4 highlighters powders in a bronze\/ golden harmony,
\n– Gleam<\/strong><\/a>: 4 highlighters powders in a pink\/ peach\/ rose gold kind of shades.<\/p>\n

Both versions are stunning\u00a0and it was a tough\u00a0choice to make. I finally opted for Gleam<\/strong>, the pinker version because I have less highlighter powders in these shades\u00a0in my modest<\/del> collection and I thought I could also use them as\u00a0eyeshadows! smile<\/span> <\/p>\n

What the brand says about them:<\/p>\n

“Metallic powder highlighters for intense luminosity.
\nLayer shades together or wear them separately on eyes and body. For even more glow, apply with a damp makeup brush.”<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Glow Kit is a palette of 4 multipurpose highlighters powder<\/strong>, that work on the face<\/strong>, on the eyes<\/strong> and for the extreme glow fan, even on the body<\/strong>!
\nThe 4 pans\u00a0are removable<\/strong>, they can be left in the kit or place in another palette (like a Z-palette<\/a> for exemple), which is\u00a0very convenient for the pros (or those who like to have all their products\u00a0in the same place, to transport them easily for example).<\/p>\n

Gleam<\/strong> is a harmony of 4 pink shades<\/strong>, which can work on lots of different skin tones in my opinion:<\/p>\n

– Hard Candy <\/strong>is\u00a0<\/strong>a golden peach\u00a0duo-chrome, with a light blue reflect. \u00a0I use it on\u00a0my eyes, on my cheeks and it also looks great used as a blush topper,
\n– Mimosa\u00a0<\/strong>is a super pretty rose gold, perfect on the top of the cheekbones if you have a tan, or as a blush topper and on the eyes,
\n– Starburst <\/strong>is a very light iridescent pink, very pretty used as an highlighter on fair\u00a0skin or on the eyelid, to catch the light,
\n– Crushed Pearl <\/strong>is a very light pink champagne, quite\u00a0frosty. I especially love to use it in the inner corner of my eyes.<\/p>\n

Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow Kit Gleam highlighters, my test and thoughts:<\/h3>\n

– Formula and texture:<\/strong><\/p>\n

They’re very different from the\u00a0Illuminators<\/a>\u00a0by the same brand, that I find quite dryer in texture! The 4 highlighters of this\u00a0Glow Kit Gleam\u00a0are super creamy<\/strong>, and easy to apply and to blend. A real joy to use! smile<\/span> <\/p>\n

– Packaging:<\/strong><\/p>\n

This is a light iridescent silver cardboard palette. It has no mirror, which makes it rather easy to carry because it’s light.
\nIt’s not the most luxurious packaging in the world (especially compared to the super pretty Illuminators ), but it’s quite simple<\/strong> (which is not necessarily a bad thing).<\/p>\n

– Finishes:<\/strong><\/p>\n

The finishes of the 4 powders is ultra luminous\u00a0and intense<\/strong>, almost\u00a0metallic<\/strong> for some of them (Crushed Pearl and Starburst). I love the powder from this set that is a duo-chrome iridescent shade<\/strong> (Hard Candy) because it makes this palette\u00a0a little more interesting and unique! wink<\/span> <\/p>\n

– Colors:<\/strong><\/p>\n

I love to mix the colors together<\/strong> and use every one of them to illuminate different parts of my face. The fact that some colors are very pale\u00a0and some others are darker also allows me to vary the\u00a0effects depending on the season or your desire.<\/p>\n

\"Anastasia<\/a><\/div>\n

– Application:<\/strong><\/p>\n

I generally use my specific highlighter brushes.
\nMy favorite at the\u00a0moment:
\n– the Smashbox Fan Brush<\/a>, the Anastasia Beverly Hills #23<\/a>\u00a0or the\u00a0Morphe 501<\/a> or\u00a0510<\/a>.<\/p>\n

– Pigmentation:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Intense<\/strong>\u00a0for the 4 shades.
\nBut they blend\u00a0very easily<\/strong>. You can also layer them<\/strong> for more intensity (especially on the eyelids).<\/p>\n

– lasting Power:<\/strong><\/p>\n

They last well on me, between\u00a06 and 8 hours<\/strong>, which is pretty decent.<\/p>\n

– Value For Money:<\/strong><\/p>\n

The palette retails for\u00a0$40<\/strong>. The size of each of the 4 powders\u00a0is rather important so I think it’s a good\u00a0value for money.<\/p>\n

I mixed\u00a0Crushed Pearl<\/strong>, Starburst<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Mimosa<\/strong> on my face. On my eyelids, Crushed Pearl<\/strong>\u00a0is in my inner corner\u00a0and I applied\u00a0Hard Candy<\/strong>\u00a0and \u00a0Mimosa\u00a0<\/strong>on my eyelid.<\/p>\n

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this palette and I really use it a lot right at the moment. It’s very pretty but also super convenient because it’s\u00a0multi-purpose. Such a nice catch! smile<\/span> <\/p>\n

It was meant to happen eventually… I finally ended up getting the other\u00a0Glow Kit, That Gold<\/strong>.
\nAnd it’s just stunning<\/strong>! I know it’s not my usual detailed review, but to summarize, it’s the same as Gleam, but with different colors! wink<\/span>
\nHowever, I think you’d maybe appreciate some more photos of that second Glow Kit:<\/p>\n
