Eyebrow makeup is such a big trend at the moment! Makeup brands are all launching\u00a0new eyebrow products but some like Benefit<\/a>, have released a whole new Brow collection<\/a>!<\/h2>\n

So for me, eyebrow makeup is not really new. I always saw my mother using makeup on her eyebrows (this is almost the only makeup she does wink<\/span> ) and I also applied makeup on my brows quite\u00a0early, even when it wasn’t\u00a0really a trend. In fact, it was\u00a0a pain to find good\u00a0eyebrow makeup products!!!
\nAt the time, I quickly abandoned the idea of using an eyebrow pencil because the colors were all terrible (some ugly chocolate brown which turned orange once applied), not to mention a whole load of greasy textures resulting in\u00a0way too much product in the eyebrows (and\u00a0they didn’t last! Who doesn’t love\u00a0some melted eyebrows? Yuk! uneasy<\/span> )
\nI finally found\u00a0an eyebrow powder by\u00a0MAC (which no longer exists) that I applied with an\u00a0angled brush. I didn’t use any clear brow gel to set it because I didn’t know this magical product existed at the time.<\/p>\n

And then, 2-3 years ago,\u00a0I discovered the brand Anastasia Beverly Hills<\/a>\u00a0and it was a brow revolution! I use the Brow Wizz<\/a>, the Brow Definer<\/a>\u00a0and the Clear Brow Gel<\/a> almost every day. A lot of different products, textures and colors: this brand is really ‘the’ eyebrow specialist in my opinion!<\/p>\n

But recently, many makeup brands finally\u00a0started\u00a0releasing good\u00a0eyebrow products and Benefit did the same with its new Brow collection<\/strong> that contains no less than 10 different eyebrow products<\/strong>!<\/p>\n

Credit must be given to Benefit here, because it\u00a0always had eyebrow products in its range and the brand also has a real legitimacy in the brow field thanks to its brow-bars<\/a>\u00a0in Sephora and Benefit boutiques worldwide . The brow bars are like mini beauty salons\u00a0devoted solely to the beauty of the eyebrows. You\u00a0can go there for a quick brow\u00a0waxing\u00a0or a full re-shape of your eyebrows and\u00a0you usually don’t\u00a0need an\u00a0appointment.<\/p>\n

To celebrate the 40th anniversary of the first eyebrow products made by Benefit, the brand has completely revisited and also\u00a0expanded its range with 10 eyebrow products<\/strong>. Some are completely new and others are reformulated versions.<\/p>\n

I chose\u00a04 of them:
\n–\u00a0Ready, set, BROW! <\/strong>clear brow gel, a new product,
\n– Gimme brow\u00a0<\/strong>tinted brow gel, a reformulation,
\n–\u00a0Goof proof brow pencil<\/strong>, a new product,
\n– Precisely, my\u00a0brow pencil<\/strong>, another new product.<\/p>\n

I stuck with\u00a0products that I would normally use because I didn’t really want to try\u00a0other products such as the\u00a03D BROWtones eyebrow enhancer<\/a>\u00a0or the BROWVO! conditioning eyebrow primer<\/a>\u00a0that seem a little gimmicky to me, to be honest…<\/p>\n

The metallic packaging<\/strong>\u00a0is also new and inspired\u00a0by a magician’s wand, with the idea\u00a0of a magical transformation of the eyebrows. I like them, I find them a little bulky (as often with Benefit) but still\u00a0nice! wink<\/span> <\/p>\n

I also really like the fact that the range is very wide\u00a0in terms of colors<\/strong>: many products in the range\u00a0have 6 different colors, which is quite rare in the current market (apart from some very specialized brands like Anastasia Beverly Hills for example).
\nI hesitated between shades\u00a03 and 4, but finally, I chose\u00a04<\/strong> and it suits me (I’m Medium Brow in ABH if it can give you an idea of the color).<\/p>\n

My brows:<\/h3>\n

Before starting my review of\u00a0the Benefit Brow collection, I wanted first\u00a0to talk to you more about my eyebrows.<\/p>\n

My eyebrows aren’t very complicated. My natural shape is pretty arched<\/strong>, they are medium in size<\/strong>, not super thick\u00a0and I have rather fine hairs<\/strong>. I have some more unequal\u00a0areas, especially at the top\u00a0of the eyebrow.
\nI pluck my eyebrow myself every evening. Basically, I remove\u00a02-3 hairs below my eyebrow line and that’s it. I don’t touch the top of my eyebrows.
\nSometimes I trim them\u00a0with scissors a little bit but nothing more. I don’t let any\u00a0beautician near\u00a0them. Not due to any\u00a0contempt for beauticians here, I simply\u00a0have been\u00a0trained myself. I just want\u00a0to keep their natural shape intact, so I prefer to look after them myself. wink<\/span> <\/p>\n

So basically, I don’t really need to reshape them with my makeup, I just brush them a bit, fill the more empty areas with some color\u00a0and I set everything\u00a0with a gel so that it\u00a0lasts\u00a0all day.<\/p>\n

That may be because I am generally satisfied with the shape of my eyebrows, but I ‘m not a big fan of the\u00a0“Instagram eyebrows<\/strong>“. You know, these very unnatural and extremely dramatic eyebrows. They’re not my cup of tea\u00a0and you will see that my idea\u00a0of eyebrow makeup is rather simple and natural. I just intensify them a little and that’s it. No drastic transformation here! wink<\/span> <\/p>\n

Ready, set, BROW! clear brow gel:<\/h3>\n

– Presentation: <\/strong>it’s a clear setting brow gel<\/strong> and it’s also long-lasting.
\nThe applicator has two sides:
\n– the first is comb-shaped<\/strong> and I use it to apply<\/strong> the product onto the eyebrows,
\n– the second is like a small brush<\/strong> and it helps to distribute<\/strong> the product throughout\u00a0the eyebrows in a natural way.<\/p>\n

– My test and thoughts:\u00a0<\/strong>the formula is quite\u00a0liquid, which I like because it’s thin, invisible in the eyebrows and dries very quickly. When it dries, you can feel it a bit in the eyebrows but nothing too annoying. It doesn’t dry completely matte which I prefer because eyebrow hairs are\u00a0naturally quite shiny.<\/p>\n

The clear brow gel\u00a0Ready, set, BROW!<\/a>\u00a0retails for $24, which is not cheap but if it’s like the one I have by\u00a0Anastasia Beverly Hills, this is the kind of product that lasts almost 1 year since a little goes a log way. It contains 7 ml of product.<\/p>\n

– And on me:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Here’s\u00a0a picture of my “naked”\u00a0eyebrow, without any product (the first photo on the left) and the second picture on the right is the one with the clear brow gel Ready, Set, BROW !.
\nI usually never use it alone<\/strong>, only on top of my brow pencil to set it. But I still wanted to show you the result\u00a0on my brows.<\/p>\n

Gimme brow tinted brow gel:<\/h3>\n
\"Benefit<\/a>\"Benefit<\/a><\/div>\n

– Presentation:\u00a0<\/strong>a tinted eyebrow gel which contains some microfiber for a volumizing effect. I chose\u00a0the color Medium<\/strong>, which is new. The brush is super small and conical, which makes it easy to use, even on very thin eyebrows. It’s very precise.
\nThe product already existed in the old Benefit eyebrows products range but it\u00a0has been\u00a0reformulated<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

– My\u00a0test and thoughts:\u00a0<\/strong>a really good surprise! I tried the old Gimme brow and I wasn’t a fan, there\u00a0wasn’t enough pigmentation for it to be used alone and I never really saw\u00a0its supposedly volumizing effect.
\nThe new version is 100 times better<\/strong>: really pigmented, super easy and quick to use, and this time, I really feels like\u00a0it\u00a0helps to “thicken” the eyebrows. The medium color is perfect for my eyebrows (there are 3 different colors). In short, a true good\u00a03-in-1 product<\/strong>: it colors<\/strong>, thickens<\/strong> and sets<\/strong> the brows in a few seconds!<\/p>\n

However,\u00a0I’m afraid it will get empty rather quickly. It’s a small vial with a small capacity (3g) and you need to use\u00a0a lot for a nice effect. So, I’m not sure it’s really economical.
\nGimme Brow<\/a> retails for $24.<\/p>\n

On the photo, I’m also wearing the\u00a0black gel liner Inglot<\/a>, some\u00a0Makeup Geek<\/a>\u00a0eyeshadows (Voltage, I’m Peachless, Latte, and Mirage) and on the lips, it’s a\u00a0ColourPop Ultra Satin Lip<\/a>\u00a0in the shade Cozy.<\/p>\n

Goof proof brow pencil:<\/h3>\n
\"Benefit<\/a>\"Benefit<\/a><\/div>\n

– Presentation:\u00a0<\/strong>it’s an eyebrow pencil with an angled\u00a0tip<\/strong>\u00a0that fills<\/strong> and thickens<\/strong>\u00a0the eyebrows. It’s a dual-tip, it also has a spoolie brush<\/strong> that helps to blend the product\u00a0and brush your eyebrows.<\/p>\n

– My test and thoughts:\u00a0<\/strong>the formula is quite easy to apply<\/strong>, not too stiff, not too dry and pigmented enough without overdoing it. It’s easy to blend<\/strong> with the spoolie brush.
\nIt’s also a long-lasting\u00a0formula<\/strong> (it’s\u00a0waterproof) but personally, I always use it together with the setting brow gel\u00a0Ready, set, BROW! because I live in Dubai where it’s\u00a01 million\u00a0degrees and super humid at the moment. And I also have an oily skin so clearly, 2 products are better than just 1.<\/p>\n

This product is ideal if you don’t have a lot of corrections to do\u00a0on your eyebrows and if you want a super quick<\/strong>\u00a0product to use. The angled tip allows you\u00a0to be super precise\u00a0if you need to fill very fine eyebrows for example.
\nHowever, as you use it, the tip can lose its shape and becomes slightly rounder\u00a0but let me give you a simple trick to sharpen\u00a0it: you can just use\u00a0a nail file to sharpen the edge and it will be good as new! wink<\/span> <\/p>\n

There are a wide choice\u00a0of colors (6 different) and I hesitated between the 3 and the\u00a04<\/strong> to finally opt for the latter. And it’s not too dark, it’s perfect! I swatched in store the number 3 which I was afraid would\u00a0be too orange but it’s not the case at all, it’s a neutral color and could also be a good match\u00a0if I decide to lighten my hair one day (you never know). wink<\/span> <\/p>\n

The Goof proof brow pencil<\/a> retails for $24.\u00a0It’s a bit expensive in my opinion\u00a0as it’s the kind of product that doesn’t really last a long time\u00a0but I still think that there is a good\u00a0amount in it\u00a0(0.28 g).<\/p>\n

Precisely, my\u00a0brow pencil:<\/h3>\n

– Presentation:\u00a0<\/strong>it’s an eyebrow\u00a0pencil with a teeny tiny tip<\/strong> for a very precise result. This tip is so small that you\u00a0can actually draw eyebrow hair<\/strong> with it. It’s a perfect product if you want to\u00a0reshape and redefine<\/strong> your\u00a0eyebrows.
\nIt also has a spoolie brush<\/strong> on the other side that helps to blend\u00a0and brush the\u00a0eyebrows.<\/p>\n

– My test and thoughts:\u00a0<\/strong>I’m not sure that the product is the most suitable for my needs. I don’t really need to redraw my eyebrows. So I tend to use it like the Goof proof brow pencil, which is such a waste\u00a0because there’s not a huge amount of product (it’s even a bit ridiculous with its\u00a00.05 g of product).<\/p>\n

The formula is\u00a0easy<\/strong> to apply, and to blend<\/strong>\u00a0with the brush. It’s also a long-lasting<\/strong> and waterproof formula.<\/p>\n

Precisely, my brow pencil<\/a>\u00a0retails for $24 and for me, it’s way too expensive considering the tiny amount you get. I\u00a0probably won’t repurchase it.<\/p>\n

In summary:<\/h3>\n

It’s a good brow range\u00a0but I find the price pretty\u00a0exaggerated. Anastasia Beverly hills products have a similar quality and they’re slightly cheaper (at least in the USA where I order them).
\nI really like\u00a0the new Gimme brow<\/strong> that I find super effective and really quick and easy to use, but it’s quite overpriced given\u00a0the tiny amount of product you get.
\nI also like the Goof proof<\/strong> brow pencil<\/strong> and the clear brow gel\u00a0Ready, set, BROW!<\/strong> but I probably won’t repurchase\u00a0Precisely, my brow pencil<\/strong> which I\u00a0also found overpriced.<\/p>\n
