I’m not always a fan of Charlotte Tilbury creations<\/a> but if there are some of her products\u00a0that have never disappointed me, that would have to be her\u00a0lipsticks, especially the\u00a0Matte Revolution Lipsticks<\/a>.<\/h2>\n

I did a review on the first color I bought here on the blog, almost 2 years ago (Love Liberty<\/a>, still one of my faves). And errr well, since then, my Matte Revolution lipstick’s collection has slightly grown… I now own a\u00a0dozen<\/strong> in total. (#lipstickaddictproblem, when I love a formula, I tend to buy the entire range…)<\/p>\n

Recently, Charlotte Tilbury released a new collection\u00a0of lipsticks, the Hot Lips collection<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Formula<\/strong> wise, nothing new, the 2 lipstick formulas already exist in the brand, the Matte Revolution and the K.I.S.S.I.N.G. lipsticks (which I spoke about in my article on the\u00a0The Golden Goddess<\/a>\u00a0box review, with the Perfect Bitch lipstick).
\nIn the Hot Lips collection, the packaging<\/strong> is slightly different from the classic Matte Revolution lipstick: the tube is embossed with a lip print, a charming little detail!<\/p>\n

However, 12 colors<\/strong> among the 16 of the collection are new<\/strong>\u00a0so I couldn’t help but buy 2, always in the Matte Revolution formula, which is my favorite:
\n– Secret Salma<\/strong> (totally inspired by this beautiful post on Sal’s blog:\u00a0UmmBaby Beauty<\/a>)
\n– Miranda May<\/strong>, for no other reason than\u00a0this color seemed perfect for the season!<\/p>\n

\"Charlotte<\/a>\"Charlotte<\/a><\/div>\n

This Hot Lips collection<\/strong> is inspired by the famous girlfriends of Charlotte Tilbury (as usual, Ms. Tilbury loves to show\u00a0that she’s friend with a lot of celebrities, #namedropping).
\nAnyway, a\u00a0nice gesture<\/strong>\u00a0from her\u00a0is that for the first 2 months after the launch of the collection, the brand Charlotte Tilbury will donate $2 by Hot Lips lipstick sold to a charity<\/strong>\u00a0organization (Women for Women International<\/a>, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping women survivors of war and injustice).<\/p>\n

I\u00a0won’t do a\u00a0detailed review of these lipsticks in this post, because I already did it when I reviewed\u00a0Love Liberty<\/a> a while back, but I thought it might be nice to you show my Matte Revolution lipsticks collection<\/strong> and also to do some\u00a0swatches! smile<\/span> <\/p>\n

So here they are, in this order:\u00a0Very Victoria<\/strong>, Between The Sheets<\/strong>, Amazing Grace<\/strong>, Secret Salma<\/strong>, Love Liberty<\/strong>, Bond Girl<\/strong>, Walk Of Shame<\/strong>, Red Carpet Red<\/strong>, Miranda May <\/strong>and\u00a01975 Red<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Very Victoria:<\/h3>\n
\"Charlotte<\/a><\/div>\n

Very Victoria<\/a> is a beige nude\u00a0almost taupe<\/strong> and\u00a0I was a little bit scared\u00a0it would be\u00a0too brown\u00a0for me. But in fact, and this is the case with many colors of this range, it’s very easy to wear and quite flattering. It has a cool undertone\u00a0which works very well with my skin tone.<\/p>\n

\"Charlotte<\/a>\"Charlotte<\/a><\/div>\n

Between The Sheets:<\/h3>\n
\"Charlotte<\/a><\/div>\n

Between The Sheets<\/a>\u00a0was released\u00a0last winter, for Valentine’s Day (I think it’s sold out at the moment). It’s a soft\u00a0baby pink<\/strong>, not too blue based (I don’t like\u00a0bubble gum pink, it doesn’t suit me at all). The perfect color to go with a dark smokey eye for\u00a0example (or any makeup look really wink<\/span> ).<\/p>\n

\"Charlotte<\/a>\"Charlotte<\/a><\/div>\n

Amazing Grace:<\/h3>\n

Amazing Grace<\/a> is a deep coral pink<\/strong>, with a warm undertone. It gives a lot of radiance to the face without being too bright.<\/p>\n

Secret Salma:<\/h3>\n
\"Charlotte<\/a><\/div>\n

Secret Salma<\/a>\u00a0(Hot Lips collection) is the typical\u00a0pinky mauve<\/strong>\u00a0shade I’m obsessed with at the moment. With a cool undertone, but not too purple, it’s flattering and enhances the green in my eyes. wink<\/span> <\/p>\n

\"Charlotte<\/a>\"Charlotte<\/a><\/div>\n

Love Liberty:<\/h3>\n
\"Charlotte<\/a><\/div>\n

Love Liberty<\/a> or the one which started my obsession for the Matte Revolution lipsticks… It’s a beautiful berry pink, almost plum<\/strong>. A darker shade indeed, but very luminous. Typically the kind of colors I love to wear during fall and winter.<\/p>\n

\"Charlotte<\/a>\"Charlotte<\/a><\/div>\n

Bond Girl:<\/h3>\n
\"Charlotte<\/a><\/div>\n

Bond Girl\u00a0<\/strong>or the only brown lipstick I can wear without looking like I’m doing a casting for Buffy the vampire slayer.\u00a0Well, it’s probably because despite its dominant brown color<\/strong>, it also has a very strong pink undertone, almost burgundy<\/strong>. I love this color, this is one of my favorite\u00a0of the entire range. It’s kind of\u00a0my ideal Kylie Jenner color<\/a>! wink<\/span> <\/p>\n

Walk Of Shame:<\/h3>\n
\"Charlotte<\/a><\/div>\n

Walk Of Shame<\/a> and Bond Girl are so close that on the swatches side by side, it’s super hard to differentiate them. But believe it or not, they’re different! In fact, their undertone is different even if the base is quite similar. Walk Of Shame has a much warmer undertone than Bond Girl. It’s a beautiful orange-red, slightly brown<\/strong>, and there’s also a little bit of warm pink<\/strong> in it. Typically the kind of burnt red\/ almost copper<\/strong> that I love for late summer and fall!<\/p>\n

Red Carpet Red:<\/h3>\n
\"Charlotte<\/a><\/div>\n

Red Carpet Red<\/a> is a stunning cherry red<\/strong>, bright and luminous. This\u00a0color is gorgeous. Its\u00a0undertone\u00a0is slightly cool, exactly what I like in a true\u00a0red. It whitens the teeth, gives a lot of radiance to the face. It’s also very sophisticated.<\/p>\n

Miranda May:<\/h3>\n
\"Charlotte<\/a><\/div>\n

Miranda May<\/a>\u00a0(Hot Lips collection) is a true summer color. It’s a bright coral pink but quite light<\/strong>, so very easy to wear. Its\u00a0coverage is not the best, \u00a0to be honest. I have to layer it a bit on the lips to get the color I want. But that being said, it layers\u00a0quite well, and it doesn’t bleed\u00a0nor\u00a0smudge.<\/p>\n

1975 Red:<\/h3>\n
\"Charlotte<\/a><\/div>\n

1975 Red<\/a>\u00a0is discontinued but apparently it looks a lot like one of the new lipsticks released in the Hot Lips collection, Tell Laura<\/a>. 1975 Red is a bright orange-red<\/strong>, like a geranium red<\/strong>. Sadly, I only can wear this kind of shade in summer or with a lot of bronzer, otherwise it clashes a bit with my skin tone. But I bet it will look fantastic on medium to darker skin colors. smile<\/span> <\/p>\n
