It’s still summer for a few days so I\u00a0can still\u00a0talk about lip glosses, can’t I? Because it would be a\u00a0shame not to show you these super cute\u00a0ColourPop Ultra Glossy Lips<\/a>! wink<\/span> <\/h2>\n

I heard that\u00a0the matte lipsticks era\u00a0is coming to an end and soon there will be a lot of super shiny and even metallized lips everywhere (I’ll probably talk more about it here on my blog wink<\/span> ).<\/p>\n

As a\u00a0true lipstick addict<\/strong> (or a lip-everything\u00a0addict actually, if I’m being honest :P), I love everything: matte, shiny, satin, metallized, sheer, opaque… So when I saw that ColourPop<\/a>, one of my favorite makeup brands, released new lip\u00a0glosses, I placed an order right away. In fact, it happened just after I saw\u00a0this YouTube video<\/a>. (I’ve put the link, but I have to warn you, it’s at your own risk! This girl has a perfect mouth so I would buy\u00a0anything she wears on her lips! wink<\/span> ) (she’s actually the “lips” in ColourPop website’s lip swatches)<\/p>\n

I ordered 9 Ultra Glossy Lip<\/strong>. It’s easy to go overboard with so cheap prices! wink<\/span> <\/p>\n

ColourPop Ultra Glossy Lip, presentation:<\/h3>\n

What the brand says about them:<\/p>\n

“Our Ultra Glossy Lip provides extreme shine with a cushion-like comfortable feel. Absolutely NO stickiness or tackiness! This lip gloss smoothes and conditions the lips with emollient ingredients leaving your lips looking fuller, healthier, and super kissable.<\/span>“<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

They are\u00a0lip glosses, with 3 different finishes: Sheer<\/strong> (transparent), Cr\u00e8me<\/strong> (a more pigmented finish) and Metallic<\/strong> (a shimmery metallic finish).
\nThey can be used alone for\u00a0a high shiny\u00a0and natural effect or over a lip pencil and \/ or a lipstick. Personally, I use them especially like this, as a topper<\/strong>. I don’t apply a lot and it gives my lips a lot of shine and dimension.
\nThere are 21 colors<\/strong> available in the range and their price is $6.<\/p>\n

ColourPop Ultra Glossy Lip, my test and thoughts:<\/h3>\n
\"ColourPop<\/a><\/div>\n

–\u00a0Packaging:\u00a0<\/strong>classic, the same as for the other\u00a0ColourPop liquid lipstick formulas.<\/p>\n

– Texture: <\/strong>quite creamy and easy to apply.<\/p>\n

– Finish: <\/strong>it’s a lip\u00a0gloss finish\u00a0<\/strong>but with 3 different categories: Sheer (transparent), Cr\u00e8me (more opaque and pigmented) and Metallic (shimmery and metallized). Besides the Metallic, all the shades are pure, without glitter.<\/p>\n

– Scent:\u00a0<\/strong>they don’t smell of anything.<\/p>\n

– Pigmentation:\u00a0<\/strong>it depends on the finish. The Sheer are obviously\u00a0quite transparent, the Cr\u00e8me\u00a0are more covering and pigmented and the Metallic are shimmery\u00a0(but not with chunk glitter) and really metallic\u00a0(stunning <3).<\/p>\n

\u00a0– Color Range:<\/strong>\u00a0many nudes, light or darker colors, bright colors and also more unusual colors (like a\u00a0gray or a dark green).
\nWith 21 colors,\u00a0it’s a wide choice! smile<\/span> <\/p>\n

– Application:\u00a0<\/strong>quite easy thanks to the small and precise applicator.<\/p>\n

\"ColourPop<\/a><\/div>\n

– Feeling on the lips:\u00a0<\/strong>they are super comfortable and don’t feel super\u00a0sticky.\u00a0They feel very nice and balmy.<\/p>\n

– Lasting Power:<\/strong>\u00a0pretty good considering the type of formula. Obviously, they won’t be as long lasting as a matte liquid lipstick for example. But\u00a0on me they last at least\u00a03-4 hours which is not bad at all.<\/p>\n

– Value for money:\u00a0<\/strong>I would say it’s a great\u00a0value for money, as often with ColourPop. I love the formula and the color range is very\u00a0nice too. They retail for\u00a0$6.<\/p>\n

ColourPop Ultra Glossy Lip, the shades:<\/h3>\n
\"ColourPop<\/a><\/div>\n

– Fairy Floss<\/a>:\u00a0<\/strong>a super luminous light\u00a0sheer nude. Perfect for use on top of a lipstick or a lip pencil. It goes with every\u00a0shades of\u00a0lipsticks.<\/p>\n

– A Boo<\/a>:\u00a0<\/strong>a pretty sheer peachy nude. It doesn’t work at all on its own on my lips (the color is really too far from my natural lip color, which is rather pink) but I love it over a lipstick in the same shades.<\/p>\n

– Weho<\/a>:\u00a0<\/strong>a yummy\u00a0caramel beige shade, well pigmented (it’s a Cr\u00e8me). I usually\u00a0apply it on top of a simple lip liner to show its beautiful color.<\/p>\n

– Bestie<\/a>:\u00a0<\/strong>a lovely warm peachy\u00a0pink. It’s also well pigmented (it’s a\u00a0Cr\u00e8me finish) and can be used alone or over a lip pencil or lipstick in the same shades.<\/p>\n

\"ColourPop<\/a><\/div>\n

– Finder’s Keeper<\/a>:\u00a0<\/strong>one of my favorites. It’s a dusty pink, quite mauve. And if you follow me on Instagram<\/a>, you’ll have seen that I’m a little bit obsessed with this kind of shade! wink<\/span>
\nIt is also rather pigmented (it’s a Cr\u00e8me finish) and it’s perfect on its own or on top of a lip pencil or lipstick (I tried it\u00a0on Too Faced Queen B liquid lipstick<\/a>, it looks\u00a0very nice!)<\/p>\n

– Master Plan<\/a>:\u00a0<\/strong>a dusky\u00a0purple, slightly darker than Finder’s Keepers. It looks nice but I think I prefer the latter at the moment, which I find more luminous. Maybe I’ll appreciate it more this winter? It’s also a Cr\u00e8me\u00a0finish, so it’s very pigmented.<\/p>\n

– Honey B<\/a>:\u00a0<\/strong>a beautiful bright fuchsia pink, beautiful and very summery. It is a Cr\u00e8me\u00a0finish. I strongly advise to apply a lip liner underneath because it tends to bleed a little if you apply it alone.<\/p>\n

– Tokyo Tea<\/a>:\u00a0<\/strong>another summery color. It’s a beautiful coral orange, super bright and vivid. Like\u00a0Honey B, it’s a Cr\u00e8me finish and same\u00a0advice: don’t forget the lip pencil underneath! wink<\/span> <\/p>\n

– Wolfie <\/a><\/strong>(my only Metallic):\u00a0a gorgeous metallic pinky plum with a sublime golden shift in it. It’s beautiful, it looks like a\u00a0true gem on the lips!<\/p>\n

I struggled to take this picture because obviously after 2 minutes in the sun with this heat, everything started\u00a0to melt… -_-<\/p>\n

I really hesitated to post you these lip swatches because the result is not really “realistic”, so to speak.
\nIn real life, I usually apply\u00a0lip gloss on top of a lip pencil or above a lipstick but here, I wanted you to see the colors so I’ve applied them alone on the lips and I had to layer them a little because my lips are naturally pigmented and I wanted you to be able to see the colors. So if you feel like I applied too much product, it’s probably because I did\u00a0ah ah ah! : D<\/p>\n
