If you follow the news in the Beauty world by reading\u00a0blogs (or following some Beauty YouTube channels), I’m sure you can’t have missed the launch of the new MAC Liptensity Lipsticks<\/a>.<\/h2>\n

MAC released them when I was still in the US<\/a>, just before I came back to Dubai. I think MAC launched them during New York’s fashion week, so they were absolutely everywhere<\/strong>: blogs, magazines, YouTube…<\/p>\n

Before going into the details of these pretty Liptensity lipsticks, I would like to begin by apologizing in advance because:
\n– I’m moving next week<\/strong>, so I’m not sure I will be able\u00a0to post here as often as I would like to\u00a0(it’s super frustrating for me, so I’ll do my best but it will probably be\u00a0a little bit complicated)
\n– when I came back, after my holiday,\u00a0I made a\u00a0list of the products I wanted to review here, and I realized that I had a lot of lipsticks to talk about<\/strong>. Like, A LOT<\/strong>. (surprise, surprise) (ah ah, not really! Lipsticks\u00a0are really the\u00a0avocado\u00a0toasts of the beauty world, they’re everyone’s favorites!).
\nSo basically, my blog will be all\u00a0about lipsticks these next weeks!<\/p>\n

OK, now we’ve got that covered, let’s get back to the pretty\u00a0MAC Liptensity Lipsticks<\/strong>! smile<\/span> <\/p>\n

MAC Liptensity Lipsticks, presentation:<\/h3>\n

What the brand says about them:<\/p>\n

“A brilliant new Lipstick formula that pushes the boundaries of colour. Each Lipstick holds intense amounts of pigment, resulting in extreme colour intensity, clarity and vibrancy. This luxurious gelled base melts on contact, providing fully saturated colour with a satin finish in one stroke.<\/span>“<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The new MAC Liptensity Lipsticks are super pigmented<\/strong> lipsticks\u00a0with a shiny satin finish<\/strong>.
\nThe packaging is colorful<\/strong> and matches the color of the lipstick inside\u00a0(it’s so beautiful when you see them all together, a\u00a0true rainbow!). The formula texture is a\u00a0gel-cream<\/strong>, and it melts on\u00a0the lips, leaving an ultra-intense color<\/strong> on the lips.\u00a0It’s also\u00a0opaque<\/strong> in one single pass<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

For this new lipstick collection, MAC teamed up\u00a0with Maureen Seaberg, a color professional, who has the capacity to see\u00a0up to 100 million colors, while the average eye can only see 1 million. (the colors of these lipsticks are probably even brighter in person, but we can’t really see them, with our average eyes lol :P\u00a0)
\nMAC also used a new category of super saturated color pigments, the “High-Frequency Tetrachromatic Pigments<\/strong>” which allow the lipstick to be exactly the same color on the lips as the color we see in the tube.<\/p>\n

Bright, bold\u00a0colors<\/strong> are\u00a0clearly the inspiration\u00a0here, so\u00a0if half of the range consists of fairly classic colors (nude, pink, red), there are also a lot of\u00a0original and edgy shades<\/strong> such as a lavender gray (Galaxy Grey), a beautiful deep dark blue (blue Beat) and even a true black (Stallion).
\nObviously, as a true boring and predictable beauty blogger, I chose 2 classic shades\u00a0(most of the time, beauty\u00a0brands\u00a0don’t send me the entire range to review them, advantage for me is that I can say what I really feel about products as a result), I usually have to buy them myself and I wear them\u00a0in real life! And what can I say, I love wearable, boring colors… wink<\/span> <\/p>\n

I already own\u00a0a lot of MAC lipsticks and I love them, they’re very good classic lipsticks and the choice of colors is very wide. If I had to compare the Liptensity<\/strong> finish to an existing finish in the MAC lipsticks range, it would probably be\u00a0Amplified’s big brother. The Amplified finish<\/strong> is very creamy and also\u00a0quite intense in pigmentation. But let’s say that these Liptensity Lipsticks would be like a big brother on steroids<\/strong>! wink<\/span> <\/p>\n

So there are 24 colors<\/strong> in the range and the retail\u00a0price is $21<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Unfortunately, this exciting collection is a limited edition<\/strong> (I really hate when MAC does that\u00a0:\/ ). So if you like a color, you definitely need to stock pile these! wink<\/span> <\/p>\n

MAC Liptensity Lipsticks, my test and thoughts:<\/h3>\n
\"MAC<\/a><\/div>\n

–\u00a0Packaging:\u00a0<\/strong>I love it! It’s quite\u00a0simple (it looks almost like a lip balm)\u00a0but also luxury at the same time\u00a0with its colored metal cap. I love the fact that the color of the cap is the same as the lipstick, which is always handy when you want to choose your lipstick\u00a0shade of the day! smile<\/span> <\/p>\n

– Texture and feeling on the lips:<\/strong> the texture is creamy while being also “gelled”. It’s a little thick, I’m not gonna lie, and you can feel it\u00a0on the lips. But it’s still very comfortable and leaves the lips moisturized\u00a0and protected, which is very nice.<\/p>\n

– Finish: <\/strong>a real satin finish, which makes the color on the lips\u00a0look vibrant and bright.<\/p>\n

– Scent: <\/strong>they smell like\u00a0the signature MAC\u00a0vanilla scent, which I really like.<\/p>\n

– Pigmentation: <\/strong>pretty insane, like the\u00a0opacity on the lips. The color is bright and opaque\u00a0in one\u00a0single pass.<\/p>\n

\u00a0– Color Range:\u00a0<\/strong>absolutely stunning, the 24 shades\u00a0are all more beautiful than the previous one, I struggled to limit myself to only 2! You can\u00a0really find everything from the most classic to the craziest colors.
\nI clearly made a choice of\u00a0more\u00a0seasonal shades with Smoked Almond<\/strong>, a brownish pink, like a rosewood, and Marsala<\/strong>, a beautiful darker pink,\u00a0almost like a beetroot shade.<\/p>\n

– Application: <\/strong>not the easiest\u00a0because the tip of the lipstick is round, so not super precise. In addition, since the color is super pigmented, it’s quite easy to\u00a0end up with lipstick everywhere… I definitely recommend to\u00a0use a lip brush with them, especially with the darker or brighter colors.<\/p>\n

– Lasting Power:<\/strong> pretty good. The brand promises 8 hours of lasting power.\u00a0I wouldn’t say that, but if I\u00a0don’t\u00a0eat, they easily last\u00a06-7 hours on\u00a0my lips.<\/p>\n

– Value For Money: <\/strong>they retail for $21\u00a0and I would say\u00a0it’s good value for money.<\/p>\n

– Smoked Almond: <\/strong>a beautiful light pinkish brown, with warm undertones. I would classify it in the category of intense nude shades. At the moment, that’s all I want to wear, it goes with everything and it’s a very flattering color!<\/p>\n

– Marsala:<\/strong> for me, it’s a perfect fall lipstick\u00a0color.\u00a0A dark pinkish red,\u00a0like a beetroot color,\u00a0with cool undertones. It gives a lot of radiance to the face\u00a0and makes my eye color pop.<\/p>\n

Mulling Spices<\/strong> (a gorgeous\u00a0dark red) and Eros<\/strong> (a bright\u00a0pink) are definitely on my wishlist, and I’m very tempted to buy a second\u00a0Smoked Almond because I love it so much! smile<\/span> <\/p>\n
